Just a quick note, I released a new version of the fastuserswitch plasmoid. This new release implements all the improvements suggested by the users plus some minor fixes.
Code can be downloaded from here. openSUSE packages are already available on the build service.

Looks great, I will test it soon. Thank you for your effort. One remark though: I think that you should drop the “Fast” from the plasmoid’s title, to remove “clutter” from the UI.
Dude! Very cool to see you implemented these changes so quickly! I would say this will make a worthwhile addition to Plasma 4.6…

I agree.
I am an advanced computer user, but don’t know what is “Fast user switching” compared to just “User switching”.
